Divisions

Championship Division ONLY IN U20 DIVISIONS MEN & WOMEN

Schools must qualify through the applicable state process and be nominated to Basketball Australia to participate in this division at the event. 

YOU CANNOT ENTER THE CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION YOU MUST QUALIFY, Basketball Australia reserves the right to offer a wildcard to a school from the participation division wishing to compete in the championship division upon successful application. 

Fixtures for the Championship Division will be available MONDAY 28th OCTOBER 

Participation Division – ANY SCHOOL CAN ENTER THESE COMPETITIONS 

This division is open to all schools to enter teams. The competition is broken up by age groups and then into further divisions.

Age Groups

The Participation Division will offer three (3) age groups: 

  • Under-20 (Senior): These students must be under 20 years of age as of 31 December in the year of competition. 
  • Under-17 (Junior): These students must be under 17 years of age as of 31 December in the year of competition. 
  • Under-15 (Freshman): These students must be under 15 years of age as of 31 December in the year of competition. 

Divisions

Please put comments on your entry as to which division you think you should be in Basketball Australia will make final decision on where your team plays. 

Each age group will be divided into divisions to allow for varying levels of ability.
The Australian School Championship Organising Committee (ASCOC) will determine what divisions are available prior to opening registrations each year based on expected attendance. A division must have a minimum of five (5) team registrations to be valid. 

BASKETBALL AUSTRALIA reserves the right to move teams, merge or create new divisions subject to nominations. 

 Fixtures for the Participation Division will be available from MONDAY 18th NOVEMBER.
